Mifroma’s maîtres fromagers have created a unique combination of Gruyère AOP, Emmentaler AOP and Mountain Cheese to treat you to unforgettable moments of delicious pleasure.
Gruyere is still made in village dairies using knowledge that has been handed down through generations, and of course through training that cheesemakers now undergo. With a slightly sweet yet meaty flavor, Gruyere is smooth and creamy when young, and develops a more earthy and complex flavor as it ages. In this form the cheese is easier for foodservice to slice and also convenient for small shops to handle.
This swiss cheese is semi-soft, sweet, and nutty. It is made in a 2 lb. wheel, using the old Bahl Baby Swiss family recipe.
***Seasonally Limited***
L’Etivaz AOP is a hard cheese made using unpasteurised milk. It is produced by hand in over one hundred alpine creameries in the Vaud Alps between May and October using unpasteurised milk, an open fire and the traditional recipe. The unpasteurised milk is processed on site and is full of the aromas of fine alpine herbs.
Traditionally, fondue was a way of making a hearty meal out of old ends of cheese. Nowadays, thanks to our maîtres fromagers’ work on aging techniques and taste development, fondue is – above all – a delicious taste experience. Easy to prepare and great for sharing, Mifroma fondue is ideal for fun dinner parties with loved ones.
We offer long shelf life ready-to-use fondues as well as fresh shredded cheese mixes that can be used for fondue or sprinkling on top of other recipes to add a delicious cheesy crunch. Both options boast carefully selected gourmet cheeses in addition to top-quality packaging.
Aromatic and fresh goat’s milk character with notes of lavender, white pepper, sage and sweetened condensed milk.
Goat cheese is probably the oldest cheese of all and originates from the Mediterranean region. While there are hundreds of varieties throughout the world, most are soft, young, and spreadable and meant for quick consumption. In Switzerland, goat cheese is special and rare to our agriculture system. Even more special and rare is our award winning, aged, semi firm, smear ripened Gourmino Goat (Geiss) made by Gourmino master cheesemaker Michael Hanke and aged in his own cellar – an impressive and complex cheese at a modest 3-4 months age profile which earned a silver medal twice in 2020 and 2022 at the World Championship Cheese Contest.
