Pizelles are revered as one of the world’s oldest cookies, originating in Abruzzo. The word “pizzelle” comes from the Italian word “pizze”, meaning round and flat. The holiday tradition of pizzelle making has been around for centuries. Little Gina’s Pizzelles provide an old-world, homemade Italian taste and are available in Vanilla, Almond, Anise, and Chocolate varieties.
Amaretti is the Italian name for macaroons, which means little bitter things. These small, domed-shaped cookies that are crisp and crunchy on the outside and soft inside, originated in Venice Italy during the Renaissance period. Classic Soft Amaretti is a delicate and chewy cookie, sometimes referred to as an Italian macaroon. It is completely flourless as it is made of blanched almonds, egg whites, sugar and almond extract.
