At the end of the 19th century, Lorenzo had purchased the beautiful estate of San Lorenzo ai Colli. There he started a prosperous farm devoted primarily to the cultivation of valuable olives, namely the three typical Sicilian cultivars: the delicate Biancolilla, the savoury Nocellara and the robust Cerasuola. The blending of these olive varieties creates a sweet, aromatic oil with the unmistakeable taste of the first pressings of October, an affectionate tribute to the work of his ancestors.
This Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with selected olives from the family-owned company of Mueloliva in the traditional olive-production center of Priego de Cordoba. Light, MuelOliva is best for using cold, to finish dishes or dressing salads. The taste of this olive oil is mature-green fruit of medium intensity with notes of grass, leaf and fruits like apple or banana. The entry in the mouth is sweet, with a moderate bitterness and gentle spiciness.
DOP Val di Mazara (Sicily): fruity flavor with intense green tomato taste, mildly pungent and slightly sweet. Its delicate taste makes it particularly indicated for using fresh and especially with fresh vegetables, with grilled fish and for seasoning.
